Shame on me for not posting!

Okay, so I've been busy/lethargic/unmotivated/whatever...

Oh, and before I forget: It's incredibly annoying to update two lists, so from now on, the original post is going to stay as it is, and the list on the side panel is the one I'm going to update. Seriously, annoying.

--> Here's an update! <--

This blog contains:
#5 - BFF Global
#9 - Get a kitty
#10 - Beat a video game
#13 - Walk again
#14 - Get another tattoo
#15 - Get rid of stuff I don't need
#44 - Grow a garden
#69 - Watch Supernatural

and...I FINISHED #52 - Get rid of the books I have, hate, and don't want! (which allows me to say #15 is in progress...it's a start!)

Alright, backwards order. I have a pile of about 20 books on my floor at the moment which I carefully hand selected out of my enormous book collection because they're terrible, or they just plain suck. I'm going to give them to a used bookstore, as soon as I can walk around again.

Speaking of walking, I went to see the surgeon today, and I'm almost there! My knee is healed, and now I have to work on getting the strength back to walk, because right now, my leg doesn't have enough muscle left to support all of my weight. It buckles when I try. So I'm still on the sticks, but I can hobble around pretty good with part of my weight, and tomorrow marks the seventh week on crutches! I swear all the upper body fat has migrated south due to our wonderful friend, gravity. My bum is fat. =(

I'm on episode 8 or 10 (I forget) of the first season of Supernatural - halfway through. Then it's onto Season 2, and 3, and 4... (I'm so behind! Don't tell me what happened, I will kill you if you spoil it!)

I'm almost done beating Final Fantasy X - I'm on the last level. I haven't been playing much lately because the last level is so freaking hard...

I'll be going for my third tattoo soon, as well - it's the above picture, which says 'freedom' in french, and it will be tattoo'ed to the back of my neck, right between the hairline and my necklace line. As soon as I can get to the tattoo shop, I'm going to get it done. There's a wonderful tattoo parlor in PoCo where mom and Tommy got their tattoos, and the tattoo artist there seems way better than the dude that did my other tattoos.

and, I almost have a kitty! My mom's cat had a litter of kittens last week, and I've picked out my kitten. I get to take him in July, which isn't too bad - I'll already be moved into my new place, and I won't have to worry about him trying to run away. I haven't picked a name yet though...I really like Schrödinger, but so far the consensus is out on that one...

and, and, and last but not least (actually second-last) ...I STARTED A GARDEN, OH YES I DID! We went to the garden store today, and I purchased almost $100 in plants....and I thought I did well...

I got: a sweet looking little zebra cactus thing to keep me company on the stove, a teensy-tiny baby ivy plant that's so small it's freakin' adorable,
wormwood, feverfew (about damned time I found it), some cute little flowery things I know nothing about, greek basil, parsley, 2 tomato plants, thyme, catnip (for the new kitty, of course!), mother-in-law's tongue, and probably something else I can't remember. I already had sweet basil, oregano, thyme, cat's grass, aloe vera, and my norfolk pine which I affectionately refer to as "tree". I'm also germinating more cat's grass, peas, columbine (for the second time, grr...), majoram, pumpkin (but I doubt it will take), forget-me-nots, and soon to be calendula and alyssum. Once I move (two weeks) I'll put a good deal of this in the garden, along with carrots for Nicholas.

Go big, or go home, right? - this is the only summ
er I've been home in the last 4 years, and likely to be the only summer I'll be home for the next few as well, so perennial city, here I come!

And lastly, (for realz, yo) - BFF Global has bracelets in the mail! Spread the word of happiness, peeps!
